I've juz read a blog post on kennysia.com, just some joke he found and posted to share with his readers.
The joke relates some of the major religions in the world with 'shit'...
Ok, it doesn't sound right, nor does it sound funny.
Seriously, i don't really find this joke funny or amusing, but what the hell, it is just a joke, meant for ppl who find this joke funny and have a good laugh.
The 3rd line of the list of religions was censored though.
Let's c... Buddhism was there, Taoism was there, Hinduism was there, Catholicism was there...
What went missing? Pandai-pandai lar..
Some major battle started in the comments part....
Some ppl said that he is being insensitive, ignorant;
but some supported him n said it was juz meant for a laugh etc...
Seriously, WHAT THE F**K??!
A battle started bcoz of a joke? (kinda lousy joke though)
Get a life ppl!
To me, there can never be any absolute right or wrong in religions...
The religion was passed down by some great wise man or prophets or priests or monks or whoever from the past...
Some things are written in a book, a scroll or any form of a physical object,
some are passed through words of mouth..
In the past few thousand years, the information that has reached us may have been modified for countless time deliberately or unintentionally. No one can be sure.
The things they have written in the past may not be suitable to apply in today's society anymore..
The things they have written might have been interpreted in different ways by different ppl...
Some local culture might have been blended into the religion etc..
(The list above is not exhaustive)
All these factors have contributed to the creation of a diversified world (of religions) today...
Neither Christianity or Islam or Buddhism are universal around the world,
all of them have their own religious denominations which somehow differ in some of their practices or beliefs....
Why is it so? Probably because men don't have enough wisdom to understand the messages that God(s) wanted to convey....
So, men interpreted the words of God(s) according to what they believe is right...
I'm not a religious person and i probably still have a lot to learn about the major religions all around the world, and you probably think that i have no right or wisdom to judge any of the religions. You are right, I'm not here to judge, I'm just expressing my feeling towards some of the religious issues which i think is absolutely nonsensical and ridiculous.
I mean come on, no body can claim that their religion is superior to other religions; who are you to make that proclaimation? Who are you to judge? You and I are both men, just human, you are not God, and you don't do things in the name of God without confirmation that this is God's will. And who are you to forcefully put your beliefs on other non-believers? You don't like to eat broccoli doesn't mean that other ppl can't eat broccoli... I hate ppl who tried to take advantage on God's name to take matters in their own hands. If there is a hell, these ppl will burn in hell. Religions are supposed to make ppl better, conforming to the standards set by God Himself...
I seriously think something is wrong when a religion is used to provoke ppl to kill others and to spread hatred... What happened to love and peace? What happened to tolerance and harmony?
Does skin colour really matters? Does difference in beliefs really matters? Why can't we accept another person with soul like us, only with different thoughts? Sighs....
I probably think too much, no one has ever solve the problem the existance of constant disputes among mankind, n i doubt it can be solved in anyway. It's juz in our blood, our primitive instinct: to differentiate, eliminate threats and dominate. I don't like that, we are all human, y differentiate each other?
Anyway, what i really hope to c is Malaysia as a better place to live where ppl can accept each other's difference, not juz TOLERATE, but ACCEPT the differences between the population. Well it's already a fact that God made u a Malay, God made u a Chinese, God made u an Indian, we hv different skin colour, and different religion. But so what? Aren't u a Malaysian? We live on the same piece of land and drink the same source of water, eat the same kind of rice... What makes us so different then? The moral of the story is: It doesn't matter what race you are, we are all Malaysians. As Malaysians, we should all be treated as Malaysians, and we should all contribute equally to the advancement of our country. The keywords are ACCEPT and EQUAL. Sounds simple, but look at Malaysia now... Sighs... Can my generation make a difference in the future? Can we break the barriers and make Malaysia a better place?
